How it Works
Acoustic wave energy is used to produce mechanical pressure pulses. These pulses are applied via a hand held machine to the painful area. This produces a series of shockwaves that expand throughout the tissue.
ESWT stimulates a healing reaction causing microscopic interstitial and extracellular biological effects which results in tissue regeneration. The shockwaves have an analgesic effect, increases blood circulation to the area and facilitates the repair process.
